Calmer coordination for families in two homes.
Northloop Labs builds thoughtful software that helps co-parents share schedules, handoffs, and expenses, clearly, kindly, and in one place.
It’s Home B’s weekend, with pickup on Friday at 4:00 PM. From the shared record:
School pickup: Friday
4:00 PM · Both homes can see it, neither has to ask.
Handoff confirmed
Weekend bag, medication, and the permission slip, checked off together.
Shared expense settled
Soccer registration split evenly, no screenshots, no chasing receipts.
A preview of the shared family record, answered through the Northloop connector. In private development.
One shared picture of family life.
Co-parenting runs on logistics: who picks up, what travels between homes, what things cost. Our first product keeps all of it in a single, neutral record both parents can trust, and your assistant works from that record through the Northloop connector.
A calendar both homes share.
Parenting time, school events, and appointments live on one calendar, so the answer to “whose day is it?” is never a text thread.
- Recurring parenting-time patterns, handled automatically
- Changes proposed, confirmed, and logged, not argued
- School and activity events visible to both parents
Handoffs without the handoff stress.
Every exchange comes with a shared checklist, so what the kids need travels with them, and nothing important gets left at the other house.
- Shared checklists for bags, medication, and gear
- Notes that pass between homes with the kids
- A calm, timestamped record of every exchange
Expenses, split fairly and quietly.
Shared costs are recorded once, split by the agreement you already have, and settled without a single awkward message.
- Receipts captured and shared in one step
- Splits that follow your parenting plan
- A running balance both parents can see
Connected to the assistant you already use.
Our connector is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that lets AI assistants work with your tools. Ask a question in plain language. The answer comes from your shared family record, not from memory or guesswork.
You ask
“Whose weekend is it, and what does the bag need?” Asked the way you’d ask a person.
Northloop connector
Reads the shared calendar, handoffs, and expenses, with permission, and only what you’ve shared.
You get an answer
“It’s Home B’s weekend. Pickup is Friday at 4, and the soccer kit still needs washing.”
Designed to feel safe.
Software for separated families carries a responsibility most software never faces. These are the rules we build by.
Safety first, always
Every feature is reviewed against one question: could this make a hard situation harder? Location is never shared by default, contact stays inside the product, and either parent can pause sharing at any time.
Neutral by design
The product takes no side. Language is plain and even-handed, records are identical for both parents, and nothing is ranked, scored, or framed as winning and losing.
Private by architecture
Family data is sensitive data. We collect the minimum needed to coordinate, encrypt it in transit and at rest, and never sell it or use it for advertising. Ever.
Kids at the center
The measure of every decision is whether life gets calmer and more predictable for the children moving between two homes. If it doesn’t help them, it doesn’t ship.
Good things take a loop or two.
Northloop Labs is a small, independent studio. Our first product for co-parents is being built carefully, and tested with real families, before it opens to everyone.
